Squaresoundz / Dj Emute

Biography

In 2008, Squaresoundz started out as a Producer and Dj Duo, formed by Dj Emute and The Matcher (formerly Hardstyle Kid). Since May 2010, Squaresoundz is performed and produced entirely by Dj Emute.

When they met in 2006 at a local club, both discovered their interest in not only listening to, but also creating own music and so some months later they started working together. The Matcher as the Hardstyle mind, bringing in a melodic twist and Emute as the "executive producer", making ideas work. After almost 2 years of exoerimenting around, they had their first gig in the Summer of 2008 @ Rhein in Love, a low budget underground party, where they had the chance to play primetime and also produce the anthem for that night. It took another 5 Months, until they were able to play again. This time at their Hometown Club "Aura - der Partytempel", where a Hardstylistix event took place.

Throughout the last two years, they had the chance to play at many small and medium sized events all across Germany, from Hamburg to Karlsdorf and Bremerhaven to Frankfurt a.M., but it was not until 2010 that Germany's leading hardcore promoter "A.L.E.X.-Events" gave them a chance and had them play at some of his parties.

Their biggest achievement was yet the chance to play at the two major dutch hardcore radio shows. They were the first German Act to play at Thunderdome Radio(Amsterdam) and also Masters of Hardcore Radio(Poortugaal).

In May 2010 Andreas and Jan decided to split up and follow different goals. Squaresoundz is now entirely performed by Emute alone. Good Luck to The Matcher for his future projects.
